Description Exterior view of Miramar, the home of Santa Monica co-founder, Senator John P. Jones, on the corner of Ocean Avenue and Nevada Avenue (now Wilshire Boulevard). Construction of the house, a three-story Victorian residence, took two years, from 1887 to 1889. Family members are seated in a horse-drawn carriage, including Georgina Frances Sullivan Jones, wife of Senator John P. Jones, and her daughters.
