In August 1962, President John F. Kennedy came to Los Angeles for a day-and-a-half visit. He stayed at the Santa Monica beach home of his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Peter Lawford. Crowds gathered on the beach to catch a glimpse of President Kennedy. The Presidential flag is flying over beach house.
