Description An exterior view of the1906 residence of H. C. Holwedel, a Santa Monica architect, located at 958 Fourth Street. This view of a patio pool and fountain seen beyond a pergola. It is one of twenty 8x10 glass plate negatives by a photographer named Garrison who catalogued the Holwedel home. J.G. Wendel, Holwedel's uncle and one of the richest landowners in New York City, died in his nephew's home in 1914.
