Title State Guard in Santa Monica, 1941
Date 1941/08/04
Description Company A of the State Guard. The attached article states "Arms for the state guard arrived in Santa Monica this week and the men of Companies A and C promptly set to work cleaning them. To date the Santa Monica companies have had to drill without rifles, a handicap which kept them out of competitive drill in the mobilization last Sunday at Santa Anita. The rifles are Enfields, of old design but never used."
